50% extra network capacity on and besides the water in Amsterdam. A large partner in the Dutch telecommunications industry will deploy its maiden voyage of a sailing 4G transmitter mast during Sail Amsterdam. The transmitter mast used is equipped with a brand-new non-line-of-site transmission connection that was never used before and transfers all signals and data to the regular network despite of the movements of the boat. TripleA Networks was selected to enable this sailing 4G mast for this provider.

Together with the provider, TripleA Networks will test how the provider can use this technology to contribute to improved mobile network performance. This new technology was not yet previously applied and will be closely monitored during this event.

Our engineers have been closely involved with the development of this first-time ever, and will of course remain this involved during its deployment.

This video shows how this technical solution was assembled on Wednesday and how the sailing transmitter mast made its debut during the SAIL-in. In addition to this sailing antenna, TripleA Networks was also hired by this network provider to supply various mobile network transmitters during the Sail event, to provide for additional capacity at locations where many visitors were expected. With these services, TripleA Networks leads this flagship when it comes to offering the customers of this network provider excellent coverage during Sail Amsterdam.
